How to Power Level a Mage to 50 in Rift <- Fastest way
How to level a Mage to 50 in Rift
For an easy way of leveling a mage with out dying all the time, take a look at the spec tree to your left for the fastest leveling build. Check an amazing solo build that helped level me 43 in less then 3 days. This build allowed me to solo every quest I came across and pull groups of 3-4 mobs with little problem and watched my pet tanked and got healed. I basically watched as they all died with little effort.
(by the way, if you are looking for a detailed guide on speed leveling in Rift, check out this page on my website)
The Three soul trees that you pick for this build are:
• Elemental Summoner, Chloromancer, Warlock – 23
• Elemental Summoner – 32
• Chloromancer – 11
From the beginning put 5 into earth elemental. Then move to chloromancer for the next 11 points. This allows your elemental to be healed while he tanks also in little time you will be able to heal yourself as well. Either way follow Elemental summoner to greater summon.
After this you are going to want to spend the points in warlock to increase your damage out put with dots.
This build will give you capability to pull multiple mobs and sit there spamming the macro:
suppressmacrofailures
/cast Withering Vine
/cast Life Leech
/cast Ignite
/cast Dark Touch
This will allow you to put up your damage over time spells by simply hitting one button.
Be sure to keep your buffs up and your debuffs flowing. They are what help keep your minion alive since all the damage you do heals your pet and you.
Stats
Mages rely on Intelligence for mana and gain spell power equal to 50% of its total.
But, as far as importance goes Spell power, then intelligence, followed by wisdom and spell crit. Spell critical is last because its only 50% of a damage over time which isn’t very effective.
